RECONCILNG CONFLICT By
Translation by
The virtue
of seeking to resolve conflict had been advised by our beloved Prophet Muhammad
S.A.W. in several Hadiths. The following are among the Hadiths dealing with this
matter:
From Ummi Darda’
r.a., Rasulullah S.A.W. said: “Do you need to know one honourable act that is
better than fasting, prayer and
charity?” They answered: “We shall be only too pleased to know it, O
Rasulullah.” Rasulullah said:
“Reconcile those who quarrel! Creating conflict is an act of inviting
disaster.”
( Hadith narrated by Al-Asbihani)
From
Abi Ayyub who said, Rasulullah S.A.W. said: “Oh Abi Ayyub, do you want me to
tell you of a charity which pleases Allah and His Messenger ?” Abi Ayyub
replied: “Indeed yes, O Rasulullah..” Rasulullah S.A.W. then said:
“Reconcile men who are in enmity and in mutual hatred.”
(Hadith
narrated by Al-Tabrani)
From
Anas r.a., from Rasulullah S.A.W. who said:“ Whoever reconcile mankind, Allah
shall enlighten his affairs. For him is a reward as big as the reward for
freeing a slave for each word uttered by him, and Allah forgives all his
past
mistakes.”
(Hadith narrated by Al-Asbihani)
