THE MANAGEMENT OF TIME (7)

The various forms of blockades, obstructions, critics, ridicules and oppressions continuously being used did not deter or discourage the Prophet (m.p.h.) from diligently persevering in his efforts to guide man in the path of the truth which Allah has commanded. The Kurish who formed the majority population could not stop the Prophet (m.p.h.) even though he was from the minority group.

At that time man has deviated far from the path of the truth. Instead of worshipping Allah alone, men were then worshipping idols which they themselves created. Some men were even worshipping other fellow men including their own leaders, who used their wealth, power and authority to influence. As a result people were following these leaders regardless of whether they (the leaders) were right or wrong. Concurrently, these leaders were oppressing the weak and poor resulting in the law of the jungle. The survivors were the powerful people, not necccessarily the innocent while the weak were always found to be wrong eventhough they may be the innocent.

The Prophet (m.p.h.) did not stop his mission even though there were massive obstructions put up by the powerful and wealthy Kurish. This situation prevails because of the nature of the nature of struggle by the Prophet (m.p.h.). The Prophet (m.p.h.) was undergoing a sincere and honest struggle and did not expect anything in return, except for the Blessings from Allah. His struggle was solely based on “iman” (faith) and “takwa” (obedience).

The strong spirit that the Prophet (m.p.h.)     had in his struggle resulted in huge success then, as seen today and in the hereafter. The Kurish also tried to suppress the uprising of Islam by blocking the general public from hearing or reading the Koraan so that they are illiterate about the Koraan. Allah Said in the Koraan (Surah As Sajadah: 26) as translated by Dr, Muhammad Muhsin Khan and Dr. Muhammad Taqi-Ud-Din Al-Hilali, Darul Salam, Pub. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1996)  “Is it not a guidance for them, how many generations we have destroyed before them , in whose dwellings they do walk about? Verily therein indeed are signs: Would they not listen?”

These dirty tactics adopted by the Kurish also failed because Allah’s power is above all His creatures Allah S.W.T. gave success to those who struggle because of Him and he promised to help those who fight for Islam.
